이 시리즈는 작가가 관찰한 풍경을 2018년부터 현재까지 약 5년간 일주일 간격으로 기록한 것이다.
초반에 작가의 역할은 가족사진을 남기듯 단순히 풍경을 기록하는 자였지만, 기록 행위를 지속적으로 반복하며 집요한 관찰자의 역할로, 점차 풍경 속의 미묘한 변화를 감지하며 감시자 역할로 전환된다. 그 과정에서 지극히 사적인, 집이라는 장소에서만 볼 수 있다는 이유로 작가에게 해당 풍경은 일종의 소유물이 된다.
작가는 공적인 장소이면서 동시에 사적인 의미가 강하게 결합된 특정 공간을 24시간 감시하고 있는 CCTV처럼 기록하고, 육안으로 바로 알 수 없는 변화를 아카이브한다.

This series photographed the landscapes observed by Taehyen Kang at weekly intervals for about five years from 2018mid to 2023early.
In the beginning, the role of the artist was simply a recorder of the landscape, as if leaving a family picture, but the role of a tenacious observer by continuously repeating the act of recording is gradually changed to that of a watcher, sensing subtle changes in the landscape. In the process, the landscape becomes a kind of possession for the artist because it can only be seen in an extremely private place called home.
Taehyen Kang records a specific space that is both public and private at the same time, like a CCTV that monitors it 24 hours a day, and archives changes that cannot be immediately seen with the naked eye.
